Joyful Learning!

Hi friends! My name is Shiela, I am a bilingual early childhood educator who enjoys composting, cooking, project based learning and working with young children. It is a joy to work with children from various ages for over 25 years. I believe in fostering the love of nature and promoting our deeper understanding of the world around us. That we engage children to actively explore the outdoors and encourage curiosity through their own discoveries! I am a parent to three boys and a community advocate for all children. Deep learning is experienced by children when they have the opportunities to ask questions, understand their surroundings and the people around them. Engage learning is when children are motivated with their own work!

Curiosity and the love of learning are the best things we can share with our students. Each child discovers their own possibilities by collaborating with others through play and community building through shared experiences with friends or nature neighbors.

Individual learning

Our goal is to promote inquiry based learning that leads to self-direction in young children through our unique approach in early childhood. We understand the individual needs of each learner in our program and guide their “discovery experiences” through the Emergent Curriculum approach which is based on children’s natural interest. We appreciate each child’s unique ways of understanding and collaboratively learn with others in this community of learners. Come join us and explore with us!
